CV Professionals and its directors and employees will not be liable for any errors in the content of documents it provides, or for any actions taken which rely upon those documents.

General

Purchasers of our services enter into a contract, which is written within the sole jurisdiction of English courts of law.

Payment shall be through Google and its terms and conditions will apply. In addition work will not be commenced upon an instruction from a client until full payment has been cleared by Google and has reached CV Professionals. Transactions will be in pounds Sterling.

CV Professionals accepts in good faith information, which purchasers of its services provide, and is not in any way responsible for the accuracy of such information. Furthermore CV Professionals is not responsible for the accuracy of any information, which is written in a purchaser’s CV or any other document provided by CV Professionals. It is the responsibility of purchasers to ensure the accuracy and veracity of information provided to CV Professionals, and information, which subsequently is written into any document provided by CV Professionals.

Users of CV Professionals’ services do so entirely at their own risk.

Refunds

CV Professionals operates under the provisions of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) (Amendment) Regulations (2005), E.Commerce Regulations (2002). Once an order has been placed the fee paid by the purchaser is not refundable.

In general there is no right of refund in the case of a purchaser wishing not to proceed with the service at any stage of the production of his or her CV, or any other service provided by CV Professionals. However, should a client’s circumstances change and he or she no longer wish to proceed with our services, CV Professionals will nevertheless consider a request for a refund, but will charge a fee for work already carried out, plus a nominal administration charge.

Telephone service

Purchasers of CV Professionals’ service to complete the questionnaire by telephone interview should be aware that the time and date of the telephone conversation have to be agreed in advance by email. Telephone conversations will be tape-recorded and every effort will be made to ensure the accuracy of transcription of the telephone call. However CV Professionals will not be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided nor for the accuracy of the transcription, but clients will be presented with drafts to give the opportunity for corrections to be made if any are required.

We are registered with the ICO in accordance with the Data Protection Act (Registration No Z103950X)

This Privacy Statement sets out how we handle your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the new GDPR provisions. Along with providing top quality services, protecting your personal information and privacy is one of our most important commitments.

The information we hold includes the material you voluntarily supply to enable us to provide the services you have ordered, including e-mail exchanges; documents you send or e-mail to us; forms you complete, or communications with us by any other means. It also includes technical information obtained automatically when you visit our website.

However, as we are all aware, the internet is not totally secure: in common with all businesses, we are unable to guarantee this. Thus any information communicated either to us or from us, is sent at your own risk.

How your information is used

  • To process your orders
  • To provide the services you have ordered at the time of ordering and in the future for the purposes of updating documents or providing additional services when requested by you.
  • To advise on other aspects of the recruitment process.

We do not make speculative contact with you to sell other services.

Storage of information

In providing your personal information, you agree to its storage and processing, and we will use our best endeavours to ensure its secure storage. On completion of an assignment, all information provided by you to enable the documents to be prepared is deleted from our systems, retaining only the finished document, for future updates and rewriting. Should you not wish us to retain the finished document, we require e-mail instruction to this effect from you.

Disclosure of information

We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other than when legally required to do so and to help prevent fraud.

Access to your information

The provisions of GDPR and the Data Protection Act 1998 give you the right to request, view and require deletion of any information we hold relating to you, by contacting us directly by phone or e-mail.

Complaints

Complaints from any purchaser should be sent by email to complaints@cvprofessionals.co.uk. CV Professionals undertakes to examine any complaint and respond to the purchaser as soon as practicable, normally within five working days.

Interruptions to service

CV Professionals is not responsible in any way for any interruptions to the service it provides as a result of breakdown of internet or other supporting services, and does not undertake any liability for any losses which may occur as a result of such breakdowns. It will, however, use its best endeavours to deal with such errors.

Termination

CV Professionals retains the right to terminate any contract with any client should it so wish at any stage in the production of any document, and retains the right to keep fees paid.

All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.
